Annual Database Conference – Tech 15

The UKOUG Technology Conference is coming to ICC, Birmingham this year 🙂

It is taking place 7th – 9th December 2015.

I thoroughly enjoy this event because it enables me to learn from & network with others in the industry. Attendees can update their  knowledge, benchmark their business & hear about the future directions of Oracle products. Presentations are delivered from a range of users, partners & Oracle.

To find out more please visit http://tech15.ukoug.org/

Any free time can be used to explore Birmingham Bullring and the German Christmas market!!

Can’t get better than that 🙂

Oracle NextGen initiative

The UK Oracle User Group (UKOUG) has set up the NextGen initiative in response to addressing the skills shortage that is being predicted in the IT industry. The  initiative was launched at Birmingham City University  (BCU) with the first of 3 events being held there.

I wrote a review on the event which was published in Oracle Scene, Issue 57,  p65. The article can be found at: http://viewer.zmags.com/publication/dd0ea62e#/dd0ea62e/64

Enjoy 🙂
